John Mariani
John has been flying since he was a teenager back in the “Old Country” (Italy) and is an ATP-rated pilot for single and multi-engine airplanes, with more than 10,000 hours of flying time. In addition, he is a Gold-Seal Flight Instructor for single and multi-engine airplanes and instruments. He is also rated for seaplanes.
John is well known in the PA 46 community as a CFI approved by all the major Insurance Companies for initial and refresher PA 46 training. John has been flying PA 46’s since 1983 and has flown and instructed in these airplanes all over the USA and Canada, South America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia. John also teaches all the Seminars (national and international) for the MMS&TF (Malibu/Mirage Safety and Training Foundation), and is a regular speaker at the yearly MMOPA (Malibu/Mirage Owners & Pilots Association) Convention.

John is an engineer by training (Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Engineering and Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering) and was involved at Piper Aircraft as an engineer on the original PA 46 design team since project inception in 1979 to FAA type certification in 1983, then test pilot and, finally, ground and flight instructor in the Customer Training Center.
John is also qualified in the PC-12 and the Epic LT.
John and his wife Louisa live in an airport community (Indian River Aerodrome) in sunny Vero Beach, Florida.
